  • You must be 18 years old or older.
  • You must have a valid social insurance number and be legally able to work in Canada.

Please note that in some cases payment can take longer.

WorkBriefly is quickly expanding across the Canada and currently available in:

  • British Columbia

It’s possible to get started working within a day of signing up! Exact timing will depend on how quickly you complete the onboarding process as well as availability of jobs in your area.

Our platform is mobile friendly and we are currently working on developing an App based on your valuable feedback.

WorkBriefly provides a flexible way to work when and where you want. Once you’re cleared to accept jobs, you can work anywhere WorkBriefly is available as long as you meet the requirements for that specific job.

Your opportunities to find future work through WorkBriefly may be limited if you withdraw from a job.

Workers who use the WorkBriefly platform are not employees of WorkBrirefly and perform work as independent contractors and as such are responsible for filing their own taxes.

As a Business

WorkBriefly is a tech platform that allows you to connect with workers for one-off gigs or ongoing shifts.

WorkBriefly is quickly expanding across the Canada and currently available in:

  • British Columbia

WorkBriefly helps find workers for a variety of jobs, such as:

  • Warehouse operations
  • General labor
  • Food & Beverage staff
  • Food production
  • Event staffing
  • Washing & cleaning
  • Administrative
  • Merchandising/Retail

We designed WorkBriefly to make finding and offering work to frontline workers a simple and affordable process:

  • Create and post a job/gig so that workers can decide if it’s a good fit for them.
  • Choose to invite recommended workers who we think would be most suited for the job or accept applicants.
  • The job gets accepted by verified worker(s), reducing the time and cost of recruiting compared to traditional staffing solutions.
  • Rate worker(s) after a job is completed and their payment is processed through WorkBriefly.

Customers get access to a business portal where posting jobs is fast and easy. Simply enter the pay rate, start and end time, location, and job description with any specific requirements (such as ability to lift 50 lb). Our proprietary algorithm shows your job posting to the best matches. Both last-minute and temp-to-perm jobs are filled in less than 20 minutes on average.

In the event that a cancellation is made less than 24 hours before the performance of the service is to begin, you will be required to pay half of the cost of the Service Engagement.  The cost includes both the payment to the WorkBriefly Worker and the fee paid to WorkBriefly.

Yes – if you want them to be. If you post a job that requires background checked workers, you can indicate this during the job creation process, a worker will not be able to perform that job until they have completed and passed a criminal background check. Please note however that if you do not make it a requirement, it is possible that someone with a conviction may claim the gig you have created.
